Description:

This young growing will be a flowering bromeliad if not destroyed by a beetle. It is a FL State threatened species.

Habitat:

FL, GA, & PR.

Notes:

This one and several other young ones have recently been observed in the Brooker Creek Preserve in Pinellas County, FL. Past years have also seen many of the mature ones devastated by beetles.
