Driver Ants

Dorylus

Description:

These ants are slightly longer than 1 cm. They move around very quickly. They have a small abdomen compared to the rest of their body. There are 2 pincers that seem to be constantly moving. I found around 10 of them crawling around on dead leaves beside the trail.

Habitat:

Driver ants are primarily found in central and east Africa, although they also live in tropical Asia.
