pycanum rubens
This shield bug has a hard green exoskeleton with two pairs of wings like any other insect. Just like all other insects, this shield bug has six legs, three body parts and a pair of antennae. Its wings appear to be brown in color. Along the outside edge of its exoskeleton, it is yellow and black/dark-brown. There were multiple of these shield bugs on the plant 'dillenia suffruticosa' or the Simpoh Air. At the longest point on this insect, it is about three and a half centimeters long. At the widest point, it is about two centimeters wide.
This was found in a secondary rainforest in Singapore.
