Description:

13cm. A common widespread, wetland cicticola in temperate/upland area; range overlaps only narrowly with rufous-winged Cisticola and not at all with Luapula and Chirping Cisticolas. It has a rufous(not grey-brown) tail, streaked (not plain) rump and diagnostic song.

Habitat:

common resident in marshy vegetation and areas of long, rank grass in open grassland.
