River Red Gum

Eucalyptus camaldulensis

Description:

A tree like this produces an enormous amount of nectar and pollen, it produces food for birds and insects. We say that it does this for itself, so that it can reproduce, but it makes so much and it feeds so many, I don’t believe it. I believe that trees produce the extra food for others, trees are givers, they give food, shelter, oxygen. They give life. I believe every tree is Father Christmas. Guardian: David Witherall
