A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
iloboletus manipularis
These fungi are white and gets darker to the middle. They grow in tight clusters and are about 3 cm tall. The fungi has tiny dots on the cap and is about 1.5 cm in diameter. They have white stems that are about 2 cm tall and grow in tight clusters. The pores are small and very tight.
These fungi were spotted on a dead log in a secondary rain forest in Singapore. Little sunlight could reach it because of the taller plants and trees. It was in a very humid part of the rain forest.
Nothing except decaying matter was near the fungi and everyday more of this fungi seems to be growing.
