Leaf Beetle

Description:

Very interesting Leaf Beetle with dark punctuated metallic elytra tipped with large white thorn-like protrusions. The head was black, the thorax and legs a pale yellow and the abdomen a bright orange. About 1 cm long. Family Chrysomelidae.

Habitat:

On foliage, Gardens of the Hotel Posada Loma, Fortin de Las Flores, Veracruz, Mexico.

Thank you Francisco, yes really weird. I didn't even realize the white spots were actually thorn-like until I saw the pictures.
