Mantid eating a wasp

Pseudomantis albofimbriata

Description:

This female brown pseudomantis feasting on a small wasp was not keen on an audience but kept on eating. They often eat insects head first but she has made an exception for this wasp with its strong mandibles. She dropped the head.

Notes:

There were many brown mantids today. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/192...
