Description:

An odd little Rove Beetle with a rounded abdomen and femora with spines (for digging?). Black with a dark wine-colored abdomen. About 1 cm long. Family Staphylinidae.

Habitat:

On wet mossy, muddy ground. Huasteca Forest, Edward James Surrealism Park, Xilitla, San Luis Potosí.
