Cobweb Spider with Egg Sac

Description:

This small 8 mm spider was sitting inside a little tent made in a large leaf and held together with silk. She came out and caught a small insect to eat. Then she went back in her tent and brought out her egg case to show me. She was very proud and protective. Follow the series to see her behavior. Her eyes and mandibles are visible in the 3rd picture. Family Theridiidae.

Forest, Chorreadero Park, Chiapa de Corzo, Chiapas, Mexico.
