Prunella vulgaris
Prunella vulgaris is a perennial edible herb found throughout Europe, Asia and North America, as well as most temperate climates. It grows 5 to 30 cm high, with creeping, self-rooting, tough, square, reddish stems branching at leaf axis, and it produces purple tubular-like flowers, growing from a whirled cluster at the top of the stem. It is used both as an edible green and as a medicinal herb. It was spotted in Pelion mountain, Greece.
