Leopard

Panthera Pardus

Description:

A beautifully coloured big cat presenting with smaller, rounder ears than its cousins and dark spots stamped onto a yellow gold coat. Very well known for stealthy patrolling of its territory and often passes unseen despite its spectacular coat. Nocturnal and rests in trees during the day. Stores kills in trees away from scavengers so it can eat at its leisure. Because of this 'pantry' style of eating, a kill can last a leopard for up to five days.

Habitat:

Wooded Savanah
