Hawksbill sea turtle

Description:

Few things distinguish hawksbill sea turtle from othr species. First is a beak-like mouth. Hawksbill's flippers has two claws. Other of the hawksbill's distinguishing characteristics is the pattern of scutes on its carapace.

Habitat:

Tropical waters of Atlantic and Indo-Pacific.

Critically endangered

Nice one! I saw hundreds of turtles when I was living in Hawaii, but every last one was a Green Sea Turtle. Love seeing the Hawksbills!
