Kerry - I experienced the worst . blisters . ever. We did the side trips on the way back too, but I actually piked on the Moss Garden because I couldn't handle it anymore, I just wanted to get back! I've done heaps of hiking, but we tend to do mountains - I suspect that hopping over rocks in the creekbeds made my feet do things they are just not used to!

We stopped for about an hour and had some lunch before we tackled the way back. We did most of the side trips on the way back too!! Feet were ponding that night!

I nearly missed him Kerry, he was only small and blended right in with the rocks. (Plus my attention was largely taken up by the pain in my feet and the thought that I still had to walk all the way back!)

Lovely that you spotted him at the creek at Big Bend, Carnarvon Gorge. It's a long hike to get there and back!
