Description:

Muscari are perennial bulbous plants native to Eurasia. They produce spikes of dense, commonly blue, urn-shaped flowers.

Habitat:

Roadsides, fields, woods, abandoned gardens; 0--1500m. Spotted in a meadow of Seih-Sou (the suburban forest of Thessaloniki, Greece). Distribution: Central and southern Europe, Mediterranean region, southwest Asia to Iran.

Notes:

Greek names: Μούσκαρι το παραμελημένο, Βοτρύανθος ο παραμελημένος, Μούσκαρι το βοτρυανθές. Greek common names: Βορβός, Βολβός, Καλογριά, Του κούκου το ψωμί.
