Golden-handed tamarin

Saguinus midas

Description:

Another tamarin spotted during my primatology thesis research last summer in Suriname. This male was feeding in a relatively low-lying branch. These monkeys tend to stick to higher branches in the canopy when possible.

Habitat:

Tropical rainforest, Guiana Shield, Suriname
