Description:

Up to 1.4 cm long. They present a variable coloration: yellow, orange or redish, with four dark bands on the head and the pronotum. The ends of the pronotum are pointed and sharp and dark stained. the antennae are black except the first segment that is orange. The legs are red. They feed by sucking the plants sap with a long mouth that they keep folded under the body when not feeding. Adults pass the winter under stones

Open evergreen oak (Quercus illex) forest. Dehesa de Valdelatas, Madrid
