Ant mimic jumping spider

Family Salticidae, Genus Myrmarachne

Description:

Myrmarachne is a genus of jumping spiders which imitate an ant by waving their front legs in the air to simulate antennae. Some species also look strikingly like ants. Spiders in this genus are commonly called ant-mimicking spiders.

Habitat:

Seen at Agumbe forest which lies in a rainforest region with a tropical climate, warm and humid. Under the Köppen system of climate classification Agumbe is a tropical monsoon climate.
