Niltava

Niltava sp.

Description:

Small bird. Brightly coloured.

Habitat:

On the slope over which our Homestay was; in the small village of Latpanchar. This wasteland full of bushes, mustard plants growing singly and a type of grass the flowering shoots of which are collected to make brooms is frequented by many bird species, butterflies, not to mention monkeys and langurs. I was lucky to spot this bird from the terrace. The others had gone 'birding.' I guess, birds came to see the humans!

Notes:

The second photo is the cropped version of the first.
