Northern Watersnake

Nerodia sipedon

Description:

Northern Watersnake (AKA: Common Watersnake) spotted sitting in a small pool along Quanah Creek in the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. The small pond was also full of tadpoles as you can see in the photos, not sure if the snake was there to eat them or not.
