I think it's a Scaevola calendulacea but I'm not confident enough to make a formal 'suggestion'. Here are some resources to take a look at:

My 'Noosa's Native Plants' book says that 'Scaevola' comes from "Caius Scaevola, a hero of ancient Rome, who was captured by the Etruscans. He plunged his hand into flames to show courage. The Scaevola flower resembles a hand."
