Blue-throated Bee-eater

Merops viridis

Description:

Looks similar to the green bee green bee-eater (Merops orientalis) but its head to its mantle is chestnut brown.

Habitat:

Inhabits open country, borders or large rivers, cultivated land, parks and gardens and forest clearings and edges. Spotted in area of grassland near a body of brackish water with river running in.

Notes:

Apologies for the poor picture it was very flighty and I could not get close enough for a good picture.
