Yellow Lantana

Lantana camara

Description:

This is actually an invasive species in Florida. It is originally from South America, but is now present in almost every Florida county. It is very beautiful, however that can hide its true ugliness as an invasive. It has small yellow Verbena like flowers in a button-like cluster. The leaves are what I would call a typical leaf shape, but with cerrated edges.

Habitat:

Mixed in with shrubs just about anywhere.

Notes:

Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, Titusville, Florida
