Description:

1 5/8 - 1 7/8” in length. Head shiny dark brown to black. Thorax grayh-brown, striped, or spotted. Ma;es abdomen is bright white. Wings have black bars on upper and lower siurfaces.

Habitat:

Ponds, slow moving streams, reedy shallows. Commonly can be seen far from water.
