Even so, I'm pretty sure it's a Meta species. Apart from the markings, look at all those spines on Femur I - a linyphiid wouldn't have so many.

Viv, I was searching for pictures of linyphiids and found this, but I think this is a Meta species, most likely M. menardi. Was it found in a dark place?
