Black False Boa Snake/Muçurana

Description:

"Muçurana" comes from the Tupi term "muçu'rana" , meaning "similar to muçu" ("Synbranchus marmoratus", a fish of freshwater). Usually, feed of other snakes. In Brazil, it's also know how "Limpa-Campo" ("Clears Field").

Habitat:

Cerrado and Atlantic Forest.

Notes:

This specimen belongs to a class at my college about "handling snakes". Of the "Serpentário de Furnas" ("Serpentarium of Furnas")
