Panus crinitus has been moved to the genus Lentinus to reflect our better understanding of how this mushroom is related to others. Therefore the 'current name' for it is Lentinus crinitus.

It is very likely the mushroom you have, however I believe there are some similar looking Lentinus species, hence just writing "Lentinus species". For the purposes of this website 'Lentinus crinitus' is a good name for your mushroom.
