Description:

Large tympanum, no dorsolateral folds; typically green coloration on snout.

Habitat:

Slow-moving streams, ponds, and lakes

Notes:

Introduced from the Mississippi drainage, bullfrogs are one of the reasons for the decline of native amphibians in California.
