The adult Grey Butcherbird has a black crown and face and a grey back, with a thin white collar. The wings are grey, with large areas of white and the underparts are white. The grey and black bill is large, with a small hook at the tip of the upper bill. The eye is dark brown and the legs and feet are dark grey.

Yes, I've been slowly learning and matching sound to sight from this fantastic website: http://www.birdsinbackyards.net/species/...
If you know their calls you'll probably start hearing them instead. They have a common name of 'mad woman' because of their crazy sounds. It would be great if we could store audio in here.

Love these guys. Such handsome and entertaining birds especially with their calls. The first couple of shots are excellent.
