File #reddish assassin bug. Any of the bugs in this section could be the Commons Assassin Bug or Bee Killer but in all cases the legs and abdomen are the wrong colour. This one would suggest the fifth instar but the wings make it an adult

I didn't know they needed to be an adult to have wings> So there is new knowledge for me. It flew off when I annoyed it enough
This one has wings as seen in the 'cross' pattern on its back. This means it is an adult already. Not sure if that helps.
