Tread Softly

Cnidoscolus stimulosus

Description:

About 6-8" tall, perennial, milky sap (I just dare you to pick one to confirm that ...) large deep green leaves deeply lobed, palmate. Flowers white, 5 petals. Stinging hairs!!!! Not a nice plant.

Habitat:

Unfortunately I have some in my backyard .

Notes:

While I try my utmos to find some redeeming qualities in every living thing, I confess that this plant has yet to reveal any except a somewhat pretty blossom. This bugger has horrible stinging hairs all over it, and if you happen to be in flip flops and get your feet into one of these even just a bit---- you will itch and burn like never before. In a word... NASTY!!!
