Description:

Adult has distinctive white wings with black edges. Tail wedge shaped. Bare yellow skin on head, slender bill. Nests on rock ledges. L 60-70, WS155-180.

Habitat:

Open country, hills and plains. In the east and N Africa a village scavanger

Notes:

There are old nests of vultures in St Katherine. Bur in recent years vultures haven't been nesting in the Sinai. Are they on the come-back? Spotted flying over Wadi Beeda, Dahab.
