Erannis tiliaria
Caterpillar. Yellow with black stripes, small black dots on the sides of its body, and an orange head. Underside white. Sat on the branch in a strange posture, with its body arched and head sticking straight out.
Shady part of woods. Found on an oak sapling (I think...not a tree expert).
Cool find! Erannis tiliaria do feed on Oak. Wonderful color on this caterpillar.
