Description:

Small lapwing with pale brown mantle, black crown, breast and throat, white neck and rump. Primaries and tail are black. Loud when approaching its nesting area. Could be aggressive if too close.

Habitat:

Wetlands and rivers of sub-Saharan, northern hemisphere only.
