Shelf-like fungus, growing on a dead and downed log. Bright orange middle with bright yellow on the outer edges.
One of my favorites! Can't wait to find one this year. Morel season is ending here. Now I can't wait for the chanterelles to come out!
Also, I had no idea it was edible lol. I was hunting morel mushrooms when I ran across this one!
