Family:Lamiaceae Genus:Solenostemon
A very leafy bush typically growing about 30 in. (in both height and width). Usually grown as ornamental plants they do produce flowers but are usually trimmed to discourage this.
Native to Africa, Southern Asia, and parts of Australia it thrives in warm moist climates.
Its common name Coleus is actually the name of a defunct genus to which many of the Solenostemon plants once belonged.
