Los Astraeus tienen exoperidio higroscopico agrietado oscuro y endoperidio blanco com verrugas y boca irregular. Este es un Geastrum, seguramente G. saccatum. Tiene boca fibrilosa exoperidio no higroscopico sacado. Seguramente es sesil.
