The baltimore oriole has a bright orange underside with a black and white back.
Trees in eastern North America.
This bird had found a piece of ribbon and was attempting to take it, presumably to use as nesting material.

I'm sure his nest will be pretty with the purple ribbon. :-)
Looks like he could have managed better with smaller pieces!
