Long-legged Fly

Condylostylus longicornis

Description:

Colorful and handsome fly that has long, slender legs. The wings are clear except a smoky front edge. The thorax and abdomen appears to change colors at various angles ranging from yellow to blue to green. Eyes are red.

Habitat:

Resting on unknown leaf. Found in "California; North Carolina to Paraguay; Polyensia. Possibly the most widespread species of the genus."
