Orthetrum testaceum
Also known as a Scarlet Skimmer. Both these names are used elsewhere for different species, hence the use of Scientific names for clarity.

Common names are just that. With African birds they are a nightmare. In South Africa they get changed "officially" every few years. You can tell how long people have been birding there by the names they use!
Note: these common names in my suggestion are also in use for different species in North America.
