Cardinal Flower

Lobelia cardinalis

Description:

Tall wildflower here in Missouri. Grows in the fall near streams and marshy places. Have seen 2 here near Nevada, MO in the same hidden area. Grown in flower garden at home for show.

Habitat:

Wetland, near drier parts of stream banks.

Notes:

All my references say it grows near Lobelia Inflatia....But, unfortunately, I didn't find that.
