Bracket Fungi

Fomitopsis, Ganoderma

Description:

The fungi was a white color on the edges and became darker towards the inside. The edges were ruffled and there was a big hole in the middle. The fungi were all overlapping each other and it was hard to see the stems. Some fungi were a more darker brown color, whereas others were white.

Habitat:

I found the fungi on a small piece of tree. It was in a very shady area with a lot less light. It was on the ground and was surrounded by plants and ferns. The tree was a brownish color with a bit of green moss on it.

It looks more like a Turkeytail Fungus to me. Great picture!
