a herb that has stout rhizomes, pinky white flowers and as seen here likes wet streamsides, copses and rivers. leaves can grow to 60cm wide.

Habitat:

seen on a walk in the Eden valley, Appleby in westmorland

Notes:

male plants are widespread but female plants seem restricted to N. england
