Fratercula arctica
The Atlantic Puffin, also known as the Common Puffin, is the only puffin native to the Atlantic Ocean. A stocky, large-headed black-and-white bird. Large triangular bill colored red, blue, and yellow in summer, but duller in winter. White cheek. Black on back, neck and on top of head. Orange legs. It breeds in colonies on rocky islands in the North Atlantic and winters at sea.
This atlantic puffin lives in captivity at the National Aquarium in Baltimore, Maryland.
