Bachman's Sparrow

Aimophila aestivalis

Notes:

I was told by a ranger at Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park that Bachman's Sparrows are all over the place out there. Probably so, but since I can't hear them this was the only one I was able to find. One is better than none:-)

Ashley I'm sure there were quite a few sparrows calling, but I had to get one perched up like this one to know it was there.

Glad you were able to find one! I have taken a few people to see them, and people who are just a little older than me tend to have problems hearing their high pitched calls ;) I would always hear way more than I saw, so I'm sure you had others around you too!
