North American River Otter

Lontra canadensis

Description:

Family of three in total, splashing around in the lake and calling to each other.

Habitat:

Small drainage lake (not a kettle lake, unlike most around here) with boggy edges. I believe they have a den on the shore although it's not visible from our boat launch spot.
