Branta canadensis
Largest of the black and white geese, this species is well known because of it's ability to adapt to cities and towns for living space. This hansome bird is marked with black bill, head and neck, and tail feathers. The head has a white strap from cheek to cheek across the chin.
Lake, ponds. rivers barrow pits, and city lagoons
Other subspecies and species often migrate in small numbers with Canadian Geese.
