Ganoderma tsugae
Generally cap is 5-10" wide 2-4" stalk brown spore prints
Found in mixed woods. These specifically were found on dead Hemlock.
This species is said to have extremely healthy medicinal properties like its close relative Ganoderma lucidum (Reishi/Ling Chi). The early stages of the fruiting body can by cut up, dried out and made into a tea. The mushroom becomes tougher later on in its life cycle and with its consistency becoming more woody/rubbery.
