Giant pill millipede

Arthrosphaera dalyi

Description:

It is a giant version of the pill bug that you can find in north america.The size was about 90 mm. length and the width is 40 mm. This species is commonly found in the western ghats and is mostly found during monsoon.The color is orange with black stripes. It is endemic to the Western ghats and can be found in monsoon season in large numbers, in this case on a mud road.

Habitat:

Western ghats basin, Karnataka, Dakshina Kannada district, during monsoon season.

Sphaerotherium giganteum is South African - the only genus in the Western Ghatz is Arthrosphaera - see https://www.inaturalist.org/observations...
