Southern Crested Caracara

Polyborus plancus brasiliensis

Description:

This "Southern Crested Caracara" was feeding of another bird. Probaly a "Picazuro Pigeon" ("Patagioenas picazuro") or a "Rock Pigeon" (Columba livia").

Habitat:

I found this specimen on a tree in a pasture, on a region of transition between the Cerrado and Atlantic Forest.
